Special Sessions Call for Papers

Download: PDF

The emergent field of Intelligent Distributed Computing focuses on the development of a new generation of intelligent distributed systems. It faces the challenges of adapting and combining research in the fields of Intelligent Computing and Distributed Computing.

IDC'2015 Special Sessions will be a very useful tool in order to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest in the field of Intelligent Distributed systems. Special Sessions that emphasize on multi-disciplinary and transversal aspects, as well as cutting-edge topics are especially encouraged and welcome.

All papers accepted for publication in the Special Sessions will be published in the IDC'2015 proceedings edited by Springer in the Computational Intelligence Series.

Proposal Submission

Special sessions proposals should not exceed 3 pages and must be submitted electronically, in PDF, to the conference email: idc2015@di.uminho.pt.

The proposal should contain the following information:

Proposals are due before 10th November 2014 and should be sent by e-mail, to the Special Session Committee.

Special Sessions proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic, the qualifications of the organizers, and the balance of the topics across the technical areas represented in the symposium.

Notification of acceptance will be sent to the organizers by 17th November 2014.

The procedure for the submission of the final papers is the same for all contributions, and it will be made through the IDC'2015 Easychair. The authors are asked to indicate the Special Session title to which their paper is submitted.
